All meals from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day, you will enjoy a delicious mix of traditional Colombian flavors, typical dishes of the region, snacks, fruits. And if you are vegetarian or vegan, or are allergic to certain foods that is not a problem for the chef who will accompany you every day.

During the tour you will visit different camps that have been built by local families, which will be pleasant to sleep and have a pleasant time. In them you will find hammocks and beds, equipped with mosquito nets, blankets and pillows.

Contribution to the Communities: Always looking for improvements and development of indigenous and peasant communities, all receiving a contribution generated thanks to the tourist activity carried out in the region.

Transportation from the city of Santa Marta, in 4x4 vehicles or Vans driven by experienced drivers, who will take you from the city to the first stop where the walk will begin, located 2 hours from the city.

With us you can make the tour safely at all times you will be covered by travel insurance, in the office you will receive all the information corresponding to the travel insurance we offer.

Entrance to the Archaeological Park: The Teyuna Archaeological Park is managed by the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH). The entrance fee to the archaeological park is included in the tour.

Important About Water:

For the first day of your adventure, please ensure you carry at least 2 liters of water. Once you reach Camps 1, 2, and 3, you'll have access to safe drinking water via filters. Simply bring and refill your personal water bottles at each camp.

Itinerario | The Lost City Trek 5 Days

Get ready to ignite your day because between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM, we're coming to YOU! That's right, we'll scoop you up from your hostel, hotel, Airbnb, or wherever you're calling home in Santa Marta City – the gateway to your epic Lost City adventure!

Hold on tight as we blast off from our Santa Marta agency for an exhilarating 2-hour ride in a rugged 4x4 or a comfy Van! Just an hour into our journey, we'll hit the vibrant spot of La Aguacatera, where you'll snag your official visitor bracelet – your badge of honor for the incredible days ahead! We'll soak in the atmosphere for a quick 20 minutes before hopping back in our ride for the final 45-minute push to the legendary town of El Mamey, also known as the one and only Machete Pelado!

Get ready to fuel your body for the jungle trek! As soon as we arrive in El Mamey, we'll dive into a delicious lunch with your fellow adventurers, building camaraderie before we even hit the trail! Then, the moment you've been waiting for – a thrilling 4-hour hike to our first welcoming camp, the legendary Adam Camp or the cozy Alfredo Camp!

Prepare to feast your eyes on breathtaking panoramas as we trek towards our jungle haven! Keep your energy levels high with the mouthwatering tropical fruits we'll encounter along the way! And when we reach our camp, get ready for comfort! We've got comfy beds, swaying hammocks, and even a little store stocked with refreshing drinks like Gatorade and water! Plus, yes, you heard right – there are showers and toilets waiting for you!

As the stars begin to twinkle, you'll settle into Adam or Alfredo Camp for your first night in the heart of the Sierra Nevada. But the adventure for your taste buds isn't over!

Prepare for a sensational traditional Colombian Caribbean dinner, lovingly prepared by our amazing local chefs – a true taste of paradise to end an unforgettable day!

Bright and early at 5:30 AM, a mouthwatering and authentic breakfast will be waiting for you at the first camp – the perfect fuel for the incredible day ahead! Then, as the sun climbs higher, at 6:00 AM, our feet will hit the trail on an exciting 3-hour journey to the second camp, the legendary "MUMAKE"!

But hold on, the adventure has a delicious pit stop! After just one hour of invigorating hiking through the lush landscapes, we'll arrive at a hidden gem called "Mata de Café." Prepare for a taste of pure refreshment as we devour juicy and incredibly fresh watermelon – the ultimate revitalizing treat after that first exhilarating stretch!

Energized and ready for more, we'll continue our trek for another 2 glorious hours until we reach "MUMAKE" (Camp #2)! Get ready to celebrate your progress with a well-deserved lunch. And the fun doesn't stop there! The sparkling waters of the Buritaca River beckon, offering an irresistible invitation for a refreshing swim and some truly delightful moments!

With renewed spirits, our afternoon adventure unfolds with a scenic 3-hour hike towards either the welcoming Paraiso camp or the cozy Lorenzo camp, our haven for the second night. But the journey itself is a treat! Along the way from Mumake camp, we'll pause amidst the stunning scenery to savor the sweet flavors of tropical fruits like pineapples and oranges, and of course, to take moments to rest and soak in the pure magic of the Sierra Nevada.

And when we arrive at our camp for the night, prepare for comfort amidst the wilderness! You'll find cozy beds and swaying hammocks for a restful night's sleep. Need a quick refreshment?

There's a handy little shop where you can grab Gatorade, water, and other essentials. Plus, modern conveniences like showers and toilets are there to make your jungle experience even more enjoyable!

Get ready to greet the dawn with a delicious and authentic breakfast at either the idyllic Paradise Camp or the tranquil Lorenzo Camp around 5:30 AM! Fuel up for an epic day because at 6:00 AM, adventure calls!

We're embarking on an exhilarating 1-hour trek straight to the legendary LOST CITY! Prepare for a thrilling climb up the iconic 1,200 ancient stone steps – the breathtaking stairway carved by the Tayrona civilization themselves!

Step into history as we arrive at the awe-inspiring LOST CITY! For a glorious 4 hours, you'll have the chance to explore the four distinct and captivating areas of this incredible archaeological site. Immerse yourself in its fascinating history, unravel the mysteries of its discovery, and as you wander through this ancient wonder, our team will treat you to a delightful and energizing snack!

Relive the magic of Teyuna as we begin our return journey! After soaking in the wonders of the Lost City, we'll trek back to the welcoming embrace of Paradise or Lorenzo Camp for a well-deserved lunch and a relaxing break. But the adventure isn't over yet! The trails beckon once more for a scenic 3-hour hike to Mumake Camp, our cozy haven for your third and final night under the starlit jungle sky!

As the day winds down at Mumake Camp, get ready for another delicious dinner, a perfect end to an unforgettable day of exploration! And for those who can't get enough of its beauty, the refreshing Buritaca River awaits another visit!

Feel free to wander down and spend some more pleasant moments soaking in its tranquil vibes!

Get ready to embrace a day of unforgettable waterfall adventures! At 6:30 AM, a delicious breakfast at Mumake Camp will fuel your spirit for an extraordinary exploration.

Then, after a refreshing 1-hour walk, prepare to be utterly amazed as we veer onto a breathtaking new path, where you'll be treated to the spectacular sight of not one, not two, but a mesmerizing series of around four distinct waterfalls cascading down the mountainside!

Get your cameras ready as these natural wonders will be your constant, stunning companions along the way, with sparkling rivers adding to the magic!

Prepare for a refreshing interlude amidst this liquid paradise! After another 3 hours of trekking, with the incredible memories and photos of those waterfalls already filling your senses, we'll arrive at La Negra Camp – a haven for your lungs and your soul!

But the adventure continues! Here, an incredible opportunity awaits: spend quality time swimming and splashing in the pristine river, surrounded by the soothing sounds of cascading water, while our talented local chefs work their magic, preparing a mouthwatering traditional feast just for you!

With renewed energy and happy hearts, and the enchanting images of the waterfalls still fresh in your mind, after a satisfying lunch, we'll gear up for the final leg of today's journey – a scenic 2.5-hour hike to EL PUENTE Camp.

This charming spot, nestled amidst the beauty of the Sierra Nevada, will be our sanctuary for the last night of this unforgettable tour, filled with the soothing sounds of nature and the anticipation of even more hidden gems to discover!

Rise and shine, adventurers! A hearty breakfast awaits you around 7:30 AM at either the charming EL PUENTE camp, the tranquil La Negra camp, or the welcoming Adam Camp, fueling you up for the final stretch of our incredible journey!

Then, with memories to last a lifetime, we'll embark on a refreshing 3-hour hike, retracing our steps through the stunning landscapes that have become so familiar.

Upon reaching the vibrant town of El Mamey, a delicious celebratory lunch will be our reward! Afterwards, comfortable 4x4 vehicles will be ready to whisk you back to Santa Marta, allowing you to relax and reflect on your epic Lost City and Hidden Waterfalls adventure.

But wait, the exploration doesn't have to end! For those with the call of the coast, we'll also offer convenient drop-offs at the bus station for easy connections to the laid-back vibes of Palomino.

Or, if pristine beaches and natural wonders are still on your mind, we can also take you directly to the breathtaking Tayrona Park, the serene Buritaca, the picturesque Playa Los Angeles, or the popular Costeño Beach – the perfect next chapter to your Colombian escapade!

Payment and Bookig Methods

For booking your tour you deposit the 10% of the total price to secure your spot ONLINE via link for payment in foreign currency (you can pay with a LINK using your credit card)

You can pay the remaining balance in cash (only colombian pesos) at our agency in Santa Marta.

In our agency in Santa Marta you can also pay by credit or debit card MASTER CARD / VISA.

Payment Policy

To book the tour you can pay a deposit of 10% of the total tour through the links that we send to you, and then you can pay the remaining balance by credit card or cash (only colombian pesos) at the office in Santa Marta.

The full price of the tour must be paid on the departure day.

Cancellation

If you already have your reservation, you can cancel it or change the date, but you must do it 72 hours before the day you are starting your Expedition, you will not have any type of penalty.

For cancellations made the same day of the tour or 72 hours before, there are charges of 10%

No refunds will be issued to the client in the following circumstances:

Failure to appear at the tour's starting point (no-show).

Experiencing an accident, hardship, or force majeure event that prevents starting or continuing the service.

Deciding not to proceed with the service.

If the traveler chooses to shorten the service (for example, finishing a 5-day trek in 4 days), no refund will be given for the change in tour duration. The company provides a fixed itinerary covering the full 5 days. Therefore, once the activity has begun, any modification by the client will be considered a variation of the originally agreed-upon conditions.

Traveler Responsibilities

Health and Fitness: The traveler confirms that they have the necessary physical condition for the demands of the trek.

Equipment and Clothing: It is the traveler's responsibility to bring the appropriate equipment and clothing for the conditions of the tour.

Compliance with Regulations: The traveler agrees to comply with the regulations of the parks, regions, and indigenous territories; and to follow the instructions of the guides, behaving responsibly throughout the entire experience.

If you are vegan, vegetarian or you have any dietary restrictions, it is important that you notify this when you are booking the tour.

If you have additional luggage or backpacks that you are not going to take to the tour, you can store it in our agency and collect it when you return, or if you go to another place such as palomino or tayrona park you can store it in the storage of the restaurant where you will have lunch the first day and pick it up on your return .

You can bring with you the chargers of your electronic devices, and if you have a powerbank you can bring it.

Bring a 1.5 liter bottle of water for the first day, you should keep the bottle because we have drinking water filters in each camp, it is free so you can refill your bottle every day.

Bring what is necessary to spend 3, 4 or 5 days in the mountains according to the tour you are booking.

If you come with children, consult your agency advisor so that you receive all the information about it.

Take care of your food the day before the tour, avoid foods that can cause indigestion, intoxication or other adverse reactions, also avoid getting drunk. This can be inconvenient to have a good experience.

Wear comfortable clothes to do the walk in a comfortable and pleasant way, because the temperature can be a little high sometimes, and humidity is also a reason. As well you can bring a sweater and long pants to wear at night.

Remember that it is an ecological destination, and the camps have been adapted with the most basic to give you a pleasant experience.

In each camp you have a store where you can buy bottles of gatorade, water, soft drinks, and snacks.

You are responsible for your personal belongings. Take care of them.

It is prohibited: Drugs, alcohol in excess, prostitution and bad behavior that attempts against others.

Make sure to notice where are you going to go after your trek in order to store your extra luggage.
