Your Lost City Trek Includes:

All meals from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day, you will enjoy a delicious mix of traditional Colombian flavors, typical dishes of the region, snacks, fruits. And if you are vegetarian or vegan, or are allergic to certain foods that is not a problem for the chef who will accompany you every day.

During the tour you will visit different camps that have been built by local families, which will be pleasant to sleep and have a pleasant time. In them you will find hammocks and beds, equipped with mosquito nets, blankets and pillows.
 

Contribution to the Communities: Always looking for improvements and development of indigenous and peasant communities, all receiving a contribution generated thanks to the tourist activity carried out in the region.

Transportation from the city of Santa Marta, in 4x4 vehicles or Vans driven by experienced drivers, who will take you from the city to the first stop where the walk will begin, located 2 hours from the city.
 

With us you can make the tour safely at all times you will be covered by travel insurance, in the office you will receive all the information corresponding to the travel insurance we offer.
 

Entrance to the Archaeological Park: The Teyuna Archaeological Park is managed by the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH). The entrance fee to the archaeological park is included in the tour.
 

Important About Water:

For the first day of your adventure, please ensure you carry at least 2 liters of water. Once you reach Camps 1, 2, and 3, you'll have access to safe drinking water via filters. Simply bring and refill your personal water bottles at each camp.

Get ready to ignite your day because between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM, we're coming to YOU! That's right, we'll scoop you up from your hostel, hotel, Airbnb, or wherever you're calling home in Santa Marta City – the gateway to your epic Lost City adventure!

Hold on tight as we blast off from our Santa Marta agency for an exhilarating 2-hour ride in a rugged 4x4 or a comfy Van! Just an hour into our journey, we'll hit the vibrant spot of La Aguacatera, where you'll snag your official visitor bracelet – your badge of honor for the incredible days ahead! We'll soak in the atmosphere for a quick 20 minutes before hopping back in our ride for the final 45-minute push to the legendary town of El Mamey, also known as the one and only Machete Pelado!

Get ready to fuel your body for the jungle trek! As soon as we arrive in El Mamey, we'll dive into a delicious lunch with your fellow adventurers, building camaraderie before we even hit the trail! Then, the moment you've been waiting for – a thrilling 4-hour hike to our first welcoming camp, the legendary Adam Camp or the cozy Alfredo Camp!

Prepare to feast your eyes on breathtaking panoramas as we trek towards our jungle haven! Keep your energy levels high with the mouthwatering tropical fruits we'll encounter along the way! And when we reach our camp, get ready for comfort! We've got comfy beds, swaying hammocks, and even a little store stocked with refreshing drinks like Gatorade and water! Plus, yes, you heard right – there are showers and toilets waiting for you!

As the stars begin to twinkle, you'll settle into Adam or Alfredo Camp for your first night in the heart of the Sierra Nevada. But the adventure for your taste buds isn't over!

 

Prepare for a sensational traditional Colombian Caribbean dinner, lovingly prepared by our amazing local chefs – a true taste of paradise to end an unforgettable day!

  • If you are vegan, vegetarian or you have any dietary restrictions, it is important that you notify this when you are booking the tour.

​

  • If you have additional luggage or backpacks that you are not going to take to the tour, you can store it in our agency and collect it when you return, or if you go to another place such as palomino or tayrona park you can store it in the storage of the restaurant where you will have lunch the first day and pick it up on your return .

​

  • You can bring with you the chargers of your electronic devices, and if you have a powerbank you can bring it.

​

  • Bring a 1.5 liter bottle of water for the first day, you should keep the bottle because we have drinking water filters in each camp, it is free so you can refill your bottle every day.

​

  • Bring what is necessary to spend 3, 4 or 5 days in the mountains according to the tour you are booking.

​

  • If you come with children, consult your agency advisor so that you receive all the information about it.

​

  • Take care of your food the day before the tour, avoid foods that can cause indigestion, intoxication or other adverse reactions, also avoid getting drunk. This can be inconvenient to have a good experience.

​

  • Wear comfortable clothes to do the walk in a comfortable and pleasant way, because the temperature can be a little high sometimes, and humidity is also a reason. As well you can bring a sweater and long pants to wear at night.

​

  • Remember that it is an ecological destination, and the camps have been adapted with the most basic to give you a pleasant experience.

  • Please follow the instructions that the guide will give you during the tour.

  • In each camp you have a store where you can buy bottles of gatorade, water, soft drinks, and snacks.

​

  • You are responsible for your personal belongings. Take care of them.

​

  • It is prohibited: Drugs, alcohol in excess, prostitution and bad behavior that attempts against others.

​​

  • Make sure to notice where are you going to go after your trek in order to store your extra luggage.
